Faye carey was born in 1997. Faye Carey is from Waikato, New Zealand. Faye is an activist who helps animals. Her inspiration sparked when she volunteered at her local animals control center for one week. She felt bad for the homeless hurt and abused animals, she immediately wanted to help.
What Is Faye Carey Fighting For?
Faye Carey is fighting for animals who do not have homes. These abandoned dogs have been hurt or abused. Faye is giving them a second chances at life. She has set up a facebook page to help give homes to dozens of dogs. She encourages other young activists to do the same. Faye Carey has helped so many animals by giving them chances at life that they never had.

Faye Carey has helped give homes to over sixty dogs. Faye Carey is helping give lives to dogs and cats even though she has other things to do. Faye has pets of her own, and schoolwork, but she finds time to help these poor animals. Three to four million dogs and cats are killed each year because animal shelters are too full. Faye Carey is helping bring that number down significantly. She is so inspirational because, she is young but she does not give up. She is passionate about what she does and she sets the example for other teens to do the same. She shows that other teen should help out with something like this. She is an example of someone young doing one small step to making the world a better place.

Who Is This Activist?
Dolores Huerta is an activist born in 1930. Dolores Huerta is fighting for the rights of Mexican and Chicano farm workers. She worked with Cesar Chavez. Together they founded the NFWA. (National Farm Workers Association) At age fifty-eight she had a police officer assault her. A baton wielding San Francisco police officer broke four of her ribs while shattering her spleen.
What Is Dolores Huerta Fighting For?
Dolores Huerta is fighting for the rights (and really the lives) of mexican farm workers. These farm workers were being treated very unfairly. Men, women and children were in the fields picking and hoeing. Nonviolence is the only way to fight. There are so many poor immigrants who don’t know the rights they are supposed to have and are being held from. Dolores Huerta not only helped them but she also empowered young children and young women everywhere.
What Makes This Person Special?
Dolores Huerta has been fighting for over 30 years in this field. She has empowered citizens-especially women- everywhere and she has not given up the fight for equality. Dolores Huerta is so influential that 4 schools in California, One in Texas, and a high school in Pueblo named after her. In 2012, president Obama bestowed Dolores Huerta with the highest civilian award in the United States. She was awarded the Presidential Medal Of Freedom. Dolores Huerta is an example of someone who has fought hard and long but never given up. Even though she is over 80 years of age, Dolores Huerta continues to fight for the rights of immigrant workers. She is truly a definition of what an activist should be.
